Blue Rose Code is a band led by Edinburgh-born songwriter Ross Wilson. At the edge of contemporary alt-folk, Wilson's music evokes a meeting of Van Morrison and a young John Martyn, both shipwrecked with a bunch of Motown records.

Kris, this is a fantastic record. I don’t normally get as excited over best of’s, but this is so well done. New versions of already excellent songs, bringing new perspectives and some excellent new songs to boot. I highly recommend it; anyone that’s thinking “naw it’s just a mash-up of existing songs”, it’s definitely not - buy it, you won’t regret it.
